The novel follows Susan, a tech journalist, as well as Perry and Lester, the intrepid ‘makers’ of the story, as they participate in, shape, and handle the aftermath of a decentralized creative revolution. His fiction examines the near-future implications of existing technology and social organization mechanisms, weaving narratives out of the current realities of these phenomena including the internet and related technologies, idea sharing, creative commons, copyright, and societal power dynamics.
